6th Grade Travel Agent
Project
(100 points)
You are going to act as a travel agent. Your job will be to pick any European nation to research and try to “sell” Mr. Perry a vacation to that country. All of the information required will be the same; however, you may present your research in one of three ways. All projects will be presented to the class. This presentation will be graded and factored into your final points total. Due: January 4, 2016
- Digital presentation (i.e. power point, prezzy, keynote)
- Brochure
- Tri-fold poster
Digital Presentation:
- All projects should include:
- Country’s longitude and latitude
- Climate type. Some countries may have more than one. Describe all of them.
- Some of the important land and water forms in the country. E.g. Mount Everest and the Nile River.
- The country’s economy. What are their imports and exports? Does the country have natural resources that are valuable? What are their largest industries? E.g. the major industry in Jamaica is tourism. Discuss any other information that you feel is important.
- The country’s unique ethnic groups and cultures. Discuss any cultural customs. E.g. Chinese using chopsticks.
- The country’s form of government.
- Any other information that would persuade someone to take a vacation in your country.
- PowerPoint presentation should be at least eight slides long. Although, you may need more. This includes your title slide. Title slide should include: your name, country name, and grade
- Should include pictures of the country and examples of the information. E.g. if you discuss chopsticks, you should have a picture of chopsticks on that slide.
- Each slide should have a title. If information on the same topic uses more than one slide, it should be titled title cont. e.g. the slide title is environment. Environment cont.
- Works cited slide. Three separate sources.
