Social Studies – Native American Project will be due in January. Most work will be done in class.
Here are guidelines for the project:
*Each project must have a visual aid for each subject to be covered. Please do not spend a lot of money. I told the class to look around and use things that may already in the house (shoeboxes, cardboard boxes, paper plates, paper grocery bags, etc.) I also showed them samples of projects.
*The students have a graphic organizer that lists the subjects to be covered:
Religion
Food
Clothing
Shelter
Government (Political Structure)
Music, Art, or Dance – They only have to choose one
Family Life
Extra Fact – Can be on transportation, weapons, etc.
*They must have note cards (index cards) accompanying the project and that is what they will use for what they will say when they present the visual that they have created. The index cards must have 5-7 sentences or facts for each of the 8 topics covered.
I have not set a due date yet. I want to see how much the students get done in the next week. I will have a due date next week.
